A printmaking technique where you etch an image into a surface known as the plate. In this case, copper. To get the shaded areas (mezzotint) you sprinkle a sand-like material onto the copper and depending on how deep or dark you wanted that area to be the longer you’d leave it on to eat away at the copper. My subject matter for this piece was the art building at UW-Oshkosh. Work completed in 1986 or so.
