I don’t always know where my inspiration comes from but I know that it usually hits me after the fact. Recently I’d had a conversation about the art form of quilting, and the response was rather negative, no interest, too country. For some reason this resonated with me. It drove me to sit down at my sewing machine last night and piece together mail packaging, paper, felt, and burlap from a rice bag. Even the thread and stitches add an element of design.
